I’ve just arrived to this city and I already love it – just because of the smell. I was worried that I might not find them but they were welcoming me even before I saw them, as soon as I’ve exited the train station – the blossoming orange trees, the smell from and of the heaven

The city seems touristy but feels alive not only with tourists. I will explore tomorrow!

My luck is confirmed one more time: turns out this miracle of the nature lasts only for about two weeks! Or so the guide from the free walking tour says (the latter turned out to be a private tour as I was the only person who has shown up – good for me ! )
Subsequent note: the two-week blossoming time is not correct according to another guide. It’s whole spring, typically from April till June but this year it started earlier, so still – lucky me! Apparently the orange trees were planted specially for the wonderful smell and in the past the bitter oranges fro those trees were exported to England for bitter orange marmalade but nowadays they are too polluted…
My will fails miserably when seeing all local sweets – each of them telling me it’s my only chance in the lifetime to try something absolutely rrrico (delicious)
Churros con chocolate in Restaurante la Esperanza and sweets in Dulceria Manu Jara – all absolutely irresistible
And those churros were quite something – less dense than the ones I’ve tried so far. And fresher than this it doesn’t get anywhere else

More orange blossoms – happy me!
Ah yeah, the main sights of Alcazar look like this:
And some other pictures from Sevilla :
Flamenco time ! More than just an item to tick off the tourist checklist
